A new type of stay in the Erasmus+ programme is known as Blended Short-Term Mobility. It enables funding for short-term mobility at Erasmus partner universities in a hybrid format, i.e. a combination of a short physical stay and a compulsory digital learning component that takes place before, after or during (accompanying, not interrupting) the physical stay.
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, students from all degree programmes at the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences (THB) are eligible for funding.
Only students who are aiming for a degree at the THB can receive funding; exchange students are excluded from Erasmus funding via the THB (Erasmus students can ask their home university whether funding via their home university would be possible).
Short-term stays at Erasmus partner universities that meet the following requirements:
Funding is currently provided by the Erasmus Project 2025 and according to the relevant eligibility criteria. Any adjustments for funding from Project 2026 will be made once the funds from the Erasmus Project 2025 have been exhausted.
There is no application deadline; funds are allocated on an ongoing basis. Whether funding is granted depends on the available budget and the number of applicants. If you are interested, please contact the International Office at THB, preferably with approximately two months' notice.
For study-related mobility, the relevant Erasmus+ documents must be completed, which will be provided to you by the THB International Office after you have submitted your application. These include:
Before departure
Once all documents have been submitted, 80% of the allocated mobility grant will be paid out before the start of the stay abroad.
During the stay abroad
The stay abroad must be confirmed on site by the host university. To this end, a Letter of Confirmation must be completed and signed by the host university.
After your return
Within the first four weeks after your return, you must submit the following documents to the International Office at THB:
Once all the necessary documents have been completed, you will receive the remaining 20% of your grant.
Blended short-term mobilities include, for example, excursions with a virtual component with THB lecturers at Erasmus partner universities or summer/winter schools with a virtual component at THB Erasmus partner universities.
