Summer/Winter Schools
What?
A summer or winter school, sometimes also referred to as a summer or winter academy, is an intensive, often inexpensive academic educational programme offered during the lecture break and usually lasts between one and four weeks. In addition to interdisciplinary programmes or language modules, subject-specific courses are also often offered, which may be recognised by the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences (THB).

Current reports from students who have attended a summer/winter school abroad can be found in Moodle, protected by a password. Costs and scholarships?
Summer schools at partner universities are usually free or reduced in price for THB students. In addition, there are living and accommodation costs. Accommodation is usually provided in the student halls of residence at the host university.
The ‘Promos’ programme offers funding opportunities for THB students. For summer schools with a virtual component that take place at THB's Erasmus partner universities, Erasmus funding for blended short-term mobility may be available.
ECTS?
ECTS credits may be recognised at THB if there is an equivalent course. Please discuss recognition with the relevant THB lecturer before your stay abroad and before attending the summer/winter school, and fill out a learning agreement for recognition.
