In the first days of the semester
First-year students
The Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences offers a language coaching programme for international students every semester. This programme is organised by the Centre for International Relations and Languages.
Here, foreign students have the opportunity to improve their German speaking skills through personal discussions with German-speaking students and to receive individual correction.

When writing term papers, preparing presentations and creating tables and equations - you need MS Office everywhere to get through your studies successfully. The confident use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint saves time and guarantees a professional and academically appropriate layout for your coursework.
Take the opportunity to make your studies easier and score points with a professional layout of your work.
The language of instruction is German.
The next MS Office intensive course will take place from 8 to 12 September 2025 in presence at THB. You will receive further information from Ms Meyer by e-mail in good time.
In the one-week MS Office intensive course for international first-year students, you will get an overview of Word, Excel and PowerPoint and learn and consolidate their use. In addition, you will receive important tips on the formal criteria for writing term papers, presentations, etc., which your professors attach great importance to.

Some of you are about to graduate, others may have just started your studies, but sooner or later you will all be dealing with the start of your professional life and therefore also with topics such as applications, job interviews, etc.

what different types of job interviews there are, what questions you are usually asked there and how you can fully prepare for them

We are organising an information event with the Brandenburg Foreigners' Registration Office (Ausländerbehörde) for international students with a residence permit for study.
A representative of the Foreigners' Registration Office in Brandenburg will provide you with information on the Residence Act (Aufenthaltserlaubnis) and will be available to answer your questions.
Among other things, you can ask questions about working during and after your studies, the right of residence, part-time study or proof of funding.
