Within the framework of the Inter³DNA project, we are intensifying existing and new partnerships in the form of four concrete teaching cooperations. These cooperations take place in the so-called "blended learning" format. This format combines physical exchange with phases of virtual cooperation.
With our partner university TecnoCampus Mataró in Spain, the International Media Camp is being implemented as a sub-project in the Department of Computer Science and Media. Within the framework of the teaching cooperation, THB students will participate in workshops and courses during their stay in Mataró and collect material for their own multimedia projects, which will be further developed and finally presented during the winter semester 2022/23. The sub-project leader and contact person for the International Media Camp is Prof. Stefan Kim (Department of Computer Science and Media).
THB has a long-standing partnership with Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) in Kakamega (Kenya), which is to be further intensified with a joint course. Within the framework of an international interdisciplinary project, groups from all three departments of the THB and different departments of the MMUST are working on practical application solutions. The subproject is under the direction of Prof. Dr. Peter Flassig (Department of Engineering), Prof. Dr. Thomas Schrader (Department of Computer Science and Media) and Prof. Dr. Dietmar Wikarski (Department of Economics).
With our partner university, the German Jordanian University in the area of the capital Amman, a joint teaching project on "Data Visualization and Infographics" will take place in the winter semester 2022/23. Students work in intercultural teams to create digital reproductions of historical sites in Jordan. The project is supervised and implemented by Prof. Julia Schnitzer (Department of Computer Science and Media) as subproject leader.
A joint interdisciplinary study project will take place with the Tartu Health Care College in Estonia in the winter semester 2022/23. The aim is to find solutions in the medical field and to initiate concrete concepts and developments of a telemedical service for physiotherapy and childbirth care. Prof. Dr. med. Thomas Schrader (Department of Informatics and Media) is responsible for the project as subproject leader.
