For German taught degree programmes:
In addition to providing proof of your German language skills, you must also provide proof of your English language skills for the following degree programmes:
Business & Information Systems Engineering M.Sc.: B1 / Proof of English language skills with a grade of 3.0 or better on the university entrance qualification or by taking a test from a commercial provider at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
Security Management M.Sc. and Digitalisation & Management M.Sc.: B2 / Proof of English language skills at B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference
For English taught degree programmes:
Mechanical Engineering M.Eng. and Interactive Media M.Sc. are expected to be taught exclusively in English from the winter semester 2025/26.
You will need to provide proof of your English language skills at B2 level (TOEFL iBT at least 85 points, IELTS Academic at least 6.0 points, B2 First minimum grade B, telc English B2, Unicert II or DAAD language certificate B2, certificate of the higher education entrance qualification or a first professionally qualifying educational qualification which shows at least language level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and which was issued by a state-recognised educational institution in Germany, in the EU or by a German school abroad, HZB or first professionally qualifying educational qualification from the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States of America, Canada, Australia or New Zealand).
